Paul’s Petal Pushers Greenhouse

Paul of Paul’s Petal Pushers is an accountant by profession and as a kid liked to “sell things”. His mom had a beautiful yard full of flowers, and his dad always had a big garden. He grew up pulling weeds-he made a penny a piece.

Following college, a friend of his asked him if he would work for him at his retail greenhouse location. Following that experience, he was hooked. He started his own retail greenhouse business, buying plants from local wholesale greenhouse growers. Eventually he started growing his own plants in his own greenhouses and learned how to start plants from seeds and cuttings growing annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetable plants, hanging baskets and bags, and flowering containers. He started as a spring only grower but has now expanded into growing mums in the fall, and in the winter making Christmas containers and wreaths with fresh evergreen boughs and decorations. He also offers container gardening classes in the spring and Christmas container classes in November and December.

Today, 99% of the plants are grown in 5 commercial greenhouses in Waterford. One employee has worked for Paul for over 30 years. Many of the employees have been with Paul for over 10 years and love gardening and interacting with customers. Two are Master Gardeners. They, like you, can’t wait to get back to the greenhouse each year to begin the season.

We invite you to come to our Waterford location to see where the plants are grown and later sold here, at the Muskego location, and local farmers markets. You will also see many of the plants grown here at the Wisconsin State Fair each year as well as other local businesses and garden centers.
